A funeral director handles the transfer and can help with many formalities.
The death must be reported to the registry office within 3 working days.
Employer and pension insurance must be informed promptly.
All insurance of the deceased must be informed. Some end automatically, others must be cancelled.
Banks must be informed about the death. Accounts are frozen until inheritance is clarified.
The inheritance must be settled. In case of uncertainties, a certificate of inheritance can be requested from the probate court.
